Danish based Snedker Studio has repurposed an old marbling water/ink technique for designing pattern on the surface of wood flooring. The rings formed in the marbling patterns create an interesting relationship with the natural growth rings of the actual wood. I think this technique results in really interesting flooring – I happen to really like the paper designs that they sell on their site as well. The video above demonstrates the technique.
