Creative Couples

TSA created an interview series about creative couples – exploring their work and experience and what it’s like to work with their significant other. Such a great idea! As someone in a marriage with another creative person, I can attest to the fact that it is a really fortunate happenstance when something like that falls into place. You’re there for each other – providing new ways of creative thinking, helping one another advance in creative pursuits and collaborating on new ideas just for the heck of it. You share an unspoken understanding as to why the other person is perhaps designing on the computer into the wee hours of the night or why the living room has been taken over by sewing machines and stacks of fabrics. There’s a shared understanding and support. It’s a beautiful thing.
Above are a few couples from TSA’s interview series:
1) Kat Karnaky (print designer for Anthropologie) & Ben Peterson (painter)
2) Melissa & JW Buchanan (printmakers)
3) Anna Wolf (photographer) & Mike Perry (designer + artist)
